From 1 May, 2009 the cost of having a Community trade mark will fall by around 40%. This will be the second decrease in price since the CTM was introduced in 1996. In future, there will be a single CTM fee, replacing the current system of separate application and registration fees. For an application made online the new fee will be €900.
